Medarex President and CEO Receives Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2005 Award

PRINCETON, N.J., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Donald L. Drakeman, President and CEO of
Medarex, Inc., was honored as a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The
Year(R) 2005 award for New Jersey. Dr. Drakeman was one of 10 winners selected from 37
finalists, who were chosen by a panel of independent judges comprised of leaders from the
academic and business communities in New Jersey, and representatives from the
Entrepreneur Of The Year 2004 New Jersey finalists and awards recipients.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program was created and is produced by
professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP.  As the first award of its kind, Ernst &
Young Entrepreneur Of The Year recognizes "outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and
leading dynamic and growing businesses."  The program honors entrepreneurs through
regional, national and global award programs in over 100 cities and 35 countries. The
Entrepreneur Of The Year program in New Jersey is in its 18th year.  New Jersey program
winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national
